La Pucelle 2132

Following the 38 year war of attrition between the European nations after the collapse of the EU in 2086, the Schengen Treaty of 2124 was signed to cease all hostilities. The war had left the western European countries unable to sustain themselves on their depleted natural resources. With impenetrable Russia to one side and the Atlantic on the other, the New European Council passed the emergency Act of 2126. This Act allowed for all of western European nations to individually invade or occupy the African continent in an effort to obtain the necessary resources to rebuild.
Unable to sustain a prolonged naval campaign circling the Iberian Peninsula to reach Africa, England requested permission from the French Government to cross to the Mediterranean by land with the promise of a large percentage of their new colonies' wealth. French Prime Minister Riberrie opposed this idea fervently and was subsequently overruled and exiled by the French Parliament. While the French armed forces were occupied with securing land in Africa, the British troops of the supply train which ran from Northern France to the southwestern coast, became more and more brazen in their treatment of the locals. Towns were sacked and French citizens executed without trial for alleged crimes against the British troops. The French government turned a blind eye to these atrocities as it found itself without the man power to react, and because it feared that if the truce with England was broken, France would have easily fallen given that it was effectively already invaded.
However, in a small town of the province of Lorraine, after witnessing the death of her family at the hands of a small British patrol, a young French girl named Joan took up arms in self defense and fought back killing the English attackers. Fed up by the state of affairs and inspired by this young girl's courage the townsfolk joined their beloved La Pucelle in her campaign against the British supply train. Steadily gaining popularity and support from neighboring towns and provinces, Joan began her quest to drive out the British troops and to restore PM Riberrie to the head of the Parliament.

X-MEN pages...from my sister's couch :S

These are two X-MEN pages I did based on the Uncanny X-Men 500 script. They are unrelated to each other in that they are not both part of the same sequence. It's just a dialogue page and an Action page.
Im not entirely satisfied with them, but in my defense I drew them mostly sitting on my sister's couch with no real table to work on. 3 point perspective can be tricky even under better conditions. At any rate here they are. Enjoy.

The song of Jiao-Long

Yet another piece of concept art. This time it is of the Chinese emperor's pet velociraptor, mistakenly believed to be a dragon, and named Jiao-Long. It was said that the emperor would consult Jiao-Long on matters concerning the state, and the "dragon's" response would come in the form of a bellowing cry. The key to determining it's meaning was closely related to the time of day at which Jiao-Long decided to sing. The hour of the dragon was the most auspicious time, the hour of the Rooster however, forbode bad tidings.
Seen here with one of "The Eight Dragon Masters", personal guards and handlers assigned by the emperor himslef, Jiao-Long wails to the valley below.

The image was done in Photoshop, start to finish. I only did grayscaling due to my other commitments having precedence time wise, but I think it came out nicely. Ill color it one day when I have the time.

Ask not for whom Jiao-Long sings....He sings for you.

Goblin Big Boss

I saw this topic over at C.A. and couldn't resist having a go at it. It's supposed to be the big bad-guy from a goblin gun-slinger world...so I came up with this guy: armed with two 16-gauge automatic pistols that are belt-fed from twin 100-round drums mounted on a harness. The harness also has a back part which acts like a pistol magazine, but instead of single bullets it dispences fresh 100-round drums. When the Goblin Big Boss runs out of ammo from the current drums, he pulls them off, reaches back and grabs two more over his shoulders from the loader and clips them to the front of his harness feeding the belts into his guns to continue firing.
Here's the pic..I went analog on this cuz I knew if I started a digital painting it would have taken me a lot longer to do, and Im busy...very busy with other projects...but all work and no play makes Claudio a dull boy......ergo... :D
See y'all later.

Here, take my card...

So here it is, finally finished, my business card. Or one of them anyways ^_^ The action sequence has no particular meaning, it's pretty straight forward so I wont bother going into it :)
I did the whole thing on Photoshop and I hope to bring it to the printer's tomorrow! :D
My info will go in the white smoke area that the girl is blowing out on the "front" of the card which I had posted a while back..I just added the blood trickle to tie it in to the story.
Hope ya likes!
